Beehive Candy calls The Argues’ debut release “melodic and pretty catchy”, and Kingston Music Reviews says “you definitely have to check out The Argues “. Music reviewer John Emms writes “The sonic sweep of the harmonies on the title track along with the chunky rock n’ roll of Get It Done just knocks you over.” The Argues’ “Something New” has been played on over 50 radio stations in the U.S. since its late May release and is now getting airplay across Canada to rave reviews.
Officially formed in Toronto in 2010, The Argues are an indie Canadian family band from Springwater, Ontario. The band has performed at countless festivals, theaters, ribfests, bars, and corporate events. Fronting the band are sisters Sabrina and Lauren Argue, who both sing and play a variety of instruments. They are serious musicians and songwriters and it is their individual personalities, along with those of their band-mates, drummer Chantale and guitarist Mike, that inspire the band’s unique original sound.
